An ardent fan of rock music and a practising Buddhist, Nells unique visual language combines religious, philosophical, and musical iconographies to create playful artworks that provoke an exploration of the human condition. Her signature aesthetic is defined by recurring symbols and words that communicate both the joys and sorrows of existence. Themes are often investigated in opposites (yin-yang) life and death, light and dark, fragility and strength.
